Vehicle: 2018 Acura MDX Advance
Hey everyone,
I've got a 2018 Acura MDX Advance with the 9-speed automatic transmission, and I've been noticing some really rough shifts, especially between 2nd and 3rd gear, and sometimes a noticeable hesitation when accelerating from a stop or at lower speeds. It's not constant, but it's frequent enough to be concerning.
I bought the car used a few months ago, and while it's generally great, this transmission behavior is making me question the long-term reliability. Is this a common characteristic of the 9-speed in these MDX models, or should I be worried? I've heard some mixed reviews about this transmission.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their 2018 MDX or other Acura models with the 9-speed? What did you do about it? I'm trying to figure out if this is something I need to take to the dealership immediately or if it's just how these transmissions operate.
