Vehicle: 2025 Acura ZDX A-Spec

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with my MyAcura app connecting to my 2025 ZDX A-Spec. For the past few days, none of the remote features are working – I can't start the car, lock/unlock doors, or check the charging status. The app just shows an outdated status or gives a 'connection error' message.

I've tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and even checking my ZDX for any pending software updates, but nothing seems to help. My phone has a strong signal. Is anyone else experiencing connectivity issues with their MyAcura app and ZDX?

Connectivity issues between your vehicle and its companion app are common and can be frustrating, as they often involve multiple points of failure. Here's a troubleshooting guide for your MyAcura app and 2025 ZDX:

  1. Check Vehicle's Data Connection: Ensure your ZDX itself has a strong cellular data connection. The vehicle needs to be able to communicate with Acura's servers for the app to work. Sometimes, parking in an area with poor cell service can cause temporary issues.
  2. MyAcura App & Phone OS Updates: Confirm both your MyAcura app and your phone's operating system (iOS/Android) are fully updated. Outdated versions can cause compatibility problems.
  3. App Cache & Data Clear: On your phone, go to your app settings for MyAcura and try clearing the cache and data (on Android) or uninstalling and reinstalling the app (on both iOS/Android). This can resolve corrupted app data.
  4. Vehicle System Reset (If Applicable): Some vehicles allow for a soft reset of the telematics system through the infotainment menu. Check your ZDX's owner's manual for instructions on how to reset the communication module or infotainment system.
  5. AcuraLink Subscription Status: Verify that your AcuraLink subscription (which powers these remote services) is active and in good standing. Log into your MyAcura account online to confirm.

When to See a Shop: If you've tried all the above steps and the issue persists, it's time to contact your Acura dealership. The problem could lie with the vehicle's embedded telematics control unit (TCU), its antenna, or a deeper software issue within the car's communication systems. While there aren't specific OBD-II codes for app connectivity, a dealer can run diagnostics on the TCU to check for internal faults or communication errors with Acura's servers. They can also perform a factory reset or reflash of the telematics module if necessary.
