Vehicle: 2018 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro Premium Plus
Hey everyone,
I'm experiencing some concerning issues with my 2018 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro, Premium Plus trim. Lately, I've noticed a significant turbo lag, especially when accelerating from a stop or at lower RPMs. It feels like the power isn't there until much higher in the rev range than it used to be.
On top of that, there's a distinct rattling noise coming from the engine bay, which sounds like it's coming from the turbocharger area. It's most noticeable when I let off the gas or when the engine is idling after a drive. I've heard this could be a wastegate issue. Has anyone else with a B9 A4 experienced this? Could it be related to a common problem like a faulty wastegate actuator or diverter valve? I haven't seen a Check Engine Light yet, but the performance drop is definitely noticeable.
