Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I'm having with my 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Recently, I've been getting a 'Service Magnetic Ride Control' message on the dash, and the ride has become incredibly harsh, almost like the suspension is locked up. It feels like every small bump is a major jolt.

I've checked for any obvious leaks around the shocks, but haven't seen anything significant. The car only has about 25,000 miles on it, so I'm a bit surprised to be seeing this issue already. It's really affecting the driving experience.

Has anyone else experienced this with their CT5-V or any other Cadillac with MRC? What was the diagnosis and fix? Is there anything I can check myself before taking it to the dealership?

Summary: For 2022 CT5-V Blackwing MRC Service Warning and Harsh Ride, work through these steps on your 2015+ vehicle:

  1. Confirm the symptom — note when it happens (cold start, highway, after fuel fill, etc.).
  2. Scan codes — save all pending/stored DTCs; don't clear until you've recorded them.
  3. Check TSBs & recalls — look up your VIN for open campaigns and known fixes.
  4. Inspect the obvious — related fuses, connectors, fluid level, and recent repairs.
  5. Test the common fix — follow model-specific service procedures; one change at a time.
  6. Escalate if needed — burning smell, no brakes, overheating, or stalling in traffic → shop visit.
