Hey everyone,
I've got a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT with the 5.3L V8 and the 8-speed automatic transmission. It's got about 70,000 miles on it now, and lately, I've noticed some slightly rougher shifts, especially when it's cold or under moderate acceleration. Nothing terrible, but it's not as smooth as it used to be.
I'm wondering about the transmission fluid. What's the recommended service interval for these 8-speed transmissions? Should I be looking at a fluid change or a flush? Any specific type of fluid I should use if I decide to DIY it, or is this a job best left to the pros?
Thanks for any advice!
