Vehicle: 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier, which has the 6.2L V8 engine. It's got about 40,000 miles on it.
Lately, I've noticed that the fuel pump seems to be getting really loud. When I turn the key to the 'on' position, before starting, I can hear a distinct, high-pitched whine from the rear of the vehicle, much louder than it used to be. It's almost like a buzzing sound.
In addition to the noise, the truck has started to have hard starts, especially after sitting for a while. It cranks for a few extra seconds before finally firing up. There's no check engine light on yet, but I'm worried about being stranded. Is this a common sign of a failing fuel pump in the 2021 Tahoe?
