Vehicle: 2021 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 V6
Hello fellow truck owners! I'm having an issue with my 2021 Chevrolet Colorado Z71, which has the 3.6L V6 engine and about 45,000 miles. For the past few weeks, I've noticed a rough idle, especially when the engine is cold. It feels like the engine is shaking a bit more than usual.
More concerning is that the Check Engine Light came on, and when I scanned it, I got a P0420 code: 'Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)'. I've also felt a slight decrease in power and fuel economy. Could this be a bad catalytic converter already, or is there something else I should be looking at first? The truck isn't that old!
