Hey everyone,

My 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L recently illuminated the Check Engine Light. I used my OBD-II scanner, and it's pulling a P0420 code: 'Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)'.

The van seems to be driving perfectly fine, no noticeable loss of power, strange smells, or unusual noises. Fuel economy also appears normal. I'm a bit concerned about what this might mean, especially since I've heard catalytic converter replacements can be quite expensive.

What are the most common causes for a P0420 code on these Pacificas? Is there anything I can check myself before taking it to a shop? I'm hoping it's something simpler than a bad catalytic converter right off the bat.
