Vehicle: 2017 Dodge Journey SXT
I'm experiencing a really annoying and somewhat concerning issue with the instrument cluster in my 2017 Dodge Journey SXT. It has started flickering intermittently. Sometimes it goes completely dark for a second or two, then comes back on as if nothing happened. All the gauges and warning lights seem to function normally when it's lit up.
The flickering seems to happen more frequently when I hit a bump in the road, go over railroad tracks, or sometimes even when making a sharp turn. This makes me suspect it might be a loose connection, but I'm not sure where to start looking.
Could this be a simple wiring problem, or is it indicative of something more serious like a failing instrument cluster module itself? I'd appreciate any guidance before I start tearing apart the dashboard.
