Vehicle: 2019 Ford Edge SEL
My 2019 Ford Edge SEL, 2.0L EcoBoost, has been taking forever to warm up lately, especially with colder weather setting in. The temperature gauge barely moves off the cold mark for a good 10-15 minutes of driving. Now, the check engine light has come on, and my scanner shows a P0128 code: 'Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Regulating Temperature)'.
I'm assuming this points to a stuck-open thermostat. Is this a common failure on the 2.0L EcoBoost in the Edge? Are there any other components I should check while I'm in there, or is it usually a straightforward thermostat replacement? Any tips for DIY on this model?
