Hey everyone, I've got a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with the 5.3L V8 and the 8-speed automatic transmission. Lately, I've noticed a distinct shudder or vibration, especially when accelerating lightly between 30-50 mph. It feels like driving over rumble strips for a few seconds.
I've heard about issues with these 8-speed transmissions. Is this a common problem? My truck has about 65,000 miles on it, and I'm worried about long-term reliability.
Has anyone else experienced this? What was your fix? Should I be looking into a transmission flush or something more serious? Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I take it to the dealer.
