Hey everyone, I've got a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with about 85,000 miles on it. Lately, I've noticed some slightly rougher shifts, especially between 2nd and 3rd gear, and a bit of hesitation when accelerating from a stop.
I'm wondering if it's time to consider a transmission fluid and filter change. The owner's manual suggests a "severe duty" interval, but I mostly do highway driving. However, I do tow a small boat sometimes.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Sierra around this mileage? What's the recommended service for the 8-speed transmission? Should I just do a drain and fill, or a full flush? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
