Hey everyone,
I've got a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with the 5.3L V8 and about 75,000 miles on it. Lately, I've noticed the shifts feel a bit rougher, especially when downshifting. I'm wondering if it's time to change the transmission fluid.
What's the recommended interval for a transmission fluid and filter change on these trucks? I've heard different things, and the owner's manual can be a bit vague depending on 'severe' vs. 'normal' driving conditions. I do a fair bit of towing in the summer.
Is this something a DIYer can tackle, or is it best left to a professional? Any tips or specific fluid recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
