Hey everyone, I've got a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with the 5.3L V8 and about 75,000 miles on it. I've been doing all my own maintenance, but I'm a bit unsure about the transmission fluid. The owner's manual seems to have different recommendations depending on usage.
I do a fair bit of towing with a travel trailer during the summer, probably 3-4 times a month. Should I be looking at changing the transmission fluid sooner than the standard interval? What's the recommended fluid type and any special procedures for a DIY job? I want to keep this truck running strong for a long time.
