Vehicle: 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L
Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I'm having with my 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L. Lately, the brake pedal has felt really soft, almost spongy, and I have to push it down much further to get a good stop. It feels like there's a delay in braking response.
Compounding this, the ABS warning light on my dashboard has been coming on intermittently. It doesn't stay on all the time, but it pops up randomly, especially after I've been driving for a while, and then sometimes disappears after I restart the car. I haven't noticed any leaks under the car, and the brake fluid reservoir looks to be at a normal level.
Is this a common problem with these CR-Vs? Could it be something simple like needing a brake fluid flush, or am I looking at a more serious issue with the ABS system or master cylinder? Any advice on what I should check first would be greatly appreciated before I take it to a shop. Thanks!
