Vehicle: 2021 Hyundai Kona Limited
I'm having some serious concerns about the transmission in my 2021 Hyundai Kona Limited, which has the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). When I'm driving at low speeds, especially in stop-and-go traffic, the car often hesitates significantly before engaging a gear. It feels like it's struggling to decide what to do.
Beyond the hesitation, I've also noticed some pretty rough shifts, particularly between 1st and 2nd gear, and sometimes 2nd to 3rd. It's not smooth at all, and occasionally there's a slight lurch. I haven't seen any check engine lights yet, but it's making me nervous about the long-term reliability of this transmission.
Is this normal behavior for a DCT, or should I be worried? What steps can I take to address this?
