My 2018 Hyundai Sonata SE, with the 2.4L GDI engine, has developed a concerning knocking noise, especially noticeable during acceleration. It sounds like it's coming from the bottom end.

I've also noticed I'm going through oil much faster than I used to. I have to top it off every few weeks, which wasn't the case before. The check engine light came on briefly a couple of times but then went off.

I'm worried this could be a serious engine issue. Has anyone else experienced this with their Sonata? What should I be looking for?
