Vehicle: 2018 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400
Hey everyone,
I'm reaching out because I've been experiencing some concerning issues with my 2018 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400. Lately, I've noticed a distinct, high-pitched whining noise, almost like a supercharger, but it's definitely not that. It's most prominent when I accelerate, especially under load.
Along with this noise, I've felt a significant drop in power. The car just doesn't pull like it used to, and it feels sluggish, particularly at higher RPMs. I haven't seen any warning lights on the dash yet, which is confusing.
Is this a known reliability issue for the VR30DDTT engine in these model years? I'm worried it might be related to the turbos. What should I be looking for, or what are the common culprits for these symptoms? Any advice on next steps would be greatly appreciated.
