Vibrations when braking in my 2017 Q50 3.0t – feels like warped rotors but new?

Hey everyone,

I've got a 2017 Infiniti Q50 3.0t and lately, I've been experiencing a noticeable vibration through the steering wheel and brake pedal when I apply the brakes, especially at highway speeds. It feels a lot like warped rotors, but I had the front brakes (rotors and pads) replaced about 8 months ago.

Could it be something else? The car has about 75,000 miles on it. I'm wondering if it could be a caliper issue or something with the rear brakes that I'm not noticing as much. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

It's getting pretty annoying, and I want to make sure I get it checked out properly before it becomes a bigger safety concern. Thanks for any advice!

Summary: For Vibrations when braking in my 2017 Q50 3.0t – feels like warped rotors but new?, work through these steps on your 2015+ vehicle:

  1. Confirm the symptom — note when it happens (cold start, highway, after fuel fill, etc.).
  2. Scan codes — save all pending/stored DTCs; don't clear until you've recorded them.
  3. Check TSBs & recalls — look up your VIN for open campaigns and known fixes.
  4. Inspect the obvious — related fuses, connectors, fluid level, and recent repairs.
  5. Test the common fix — follow model-specific service procedures; one change at a time.
  6. Escalate if needed — burning smell, no brakes, overheating, or stalling in traffic → shop visit.
