Vehicle: 2022 Jeep Compass Limited
Hello everyone,
I've got a 2022 Jeep Compass Limited with the 2.4L Tigershark engine, and I've noticed it's consuming an excessive amount of oil. I find myself needing to add a quart or more between oil changes, sometimes as early as 3,000 miles. There are no visible leaks, and I haven't seen any smoke from the exhaust. Occasionally, I'll get a check engine light, but it usually clears itself.
Is this level of oil consumption normal for the 2.4L Tigershark engine in these newer models? I know some older versions had a reputation for this. What could be causing it, and what should I be looking for? Any advice on how to address this would be great, as I'm worried about long-term engine health.
