Vehicle: 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland
My 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland is having persistent issues with the Uconnect 5 system. It frequently freezes, especially when using Apple CarPlay, and sometimes the screen just goes completely blank for a few seconds before restarting. It's incredibly frustrating, especially on longer drives.
I've tried soft resets by holding down the power button, but the problem always comes back. I've also made sure my iPhone is updated. Is this a known bug with Uconnect 5, or could it be a hardware issue? I bought the car new, so it's still under warranty.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Grand Cherokee L or other newer Jeeps with Uconnect 5? What was the solution? I'm debating whether to take it to the dealer, but I'd like to go in armed with some information.
