Vehicle: 2023 Kia K5 GT-Line
Hi everyone,
I've got a 2023 Kia K5 GT-Line, and I'm experiencing frequent false alarms from the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) system. It often brakes hard or gives a loud warning when there's no actual obstruction or danger, sometimes even on an open road with no cars in front of me.
It's really startling and frankly, quite dangerous when it slams on the brakes unexpectedly. The car only has about 15,000 miles on it. I've tried cleaning the front radar sensor area and the camera on the windshield, but it hasn't helped.
Is this a known issue with the K5 or other newer Kia models? Could it be a sensor calibration problem or a software bug? Any advice on what I can do or what the dealership should check?
