Vehicle: 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300
Hey everyone,
I've got a 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 (W205 chassis) with about 65,000 miles on it. I've been doing all my regular maintenance myself, but I'm getting conflicting information about the transmission fluid. Some people say it's "sealed for life" and never needs changing, while others insist it's crucial for longevity.
Lately, I've noticed a very slight hesitation or almost imperceptible shudder when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear, mostly when the engine is cold. It's not severe, but it makes me wonder if the fluid is getting old.
What's the official word for a 2018 C300 with the 9G-Tronic transmission? Should I be looking into a transmission fluid and filter service now, or is it truly not necessary? Any advice on the specific fluid type or filter kit would be greatly appreciated!
