Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL's transmission. Lately, it feels like the CVT is slipping, especially when accelerating from a stop or trying to pass on the highway. There's a noticeable hesitation before it "catches" and accelerates.
I've also started hearing a whining noise that seems to come from the transmission area, particularly when the car is warm. It's really concerning me, as I've heard about CVT problems with these vehicles.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Outlander? Is this something I should be worried about, or could it be a simpler fix? No check engine light yet, but the performance is definitely degraded.
