Choose the right make & topic
Every thread belongs in one of our US-market make forums (Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, etc.). Pick the make that matches the vehicle you are working on, then the sub-forum that best fits: Diagnostics & codes, Engine & drivetrain, Brakes & suspension, Electrical & electronics, Maintenance & DIY, or Buying & ownership. Cross-posting the same question in multiple makes is not allowed.
Automotive topics only
Posts must be about a specific vehicle make and model. Choose the make forum (e.g. Toyota, Ford) and the model sub-forum (e.g. Camry, F-150) or Other Models. No politics, spam, or off-topic content.
Be respectful
No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Disagree on technical merits.
No spam or self-promotion
No unsolicited ads, affiliate spam, or repetitive link-drops. Shop links only when genuinely helpful.
Safety first
Do not encourage illegal street racing or unsafe repairs. Note when professional help is required.
Share accurate information
Do not knowingly post dangerous misinformation. Cite sources when possible.
What you may post
Real repair questions, scan-tool readings, photos of components (no plates/faces), step-by-step fixes you performed, parts that worked, TSB/recall discussion, tool recommendations, and respectful debate on technical approaches. Links to your shop or guides are OK when they directly answer the thread.
What is not allowed
Politics, religion, hate speech, harassment, adult content, illegal street racing, dangerous instructions, counterfeit parts promotion, unsolicited ads, affiliate spam, AI-generated spam, doxxing, and threads with no automotive connection. Do not post VINs, license plates, or personal data.
AI moderation reviews every new thread and reply before it is published. Content that violates these rules is rejected with an explanation.
