Vehicle: 2018 Porsche Macan S
Hey everyone, I'm pulling my hair out with my 2018 Porsche Macan S. About a month ago, the check engine light came on. I scanned it and got a P0420 code, which points to 'Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)'.
I figured it was likely the O2 sensor, so I replaced the post-catalytic converter O2 sensor on Bank 1 myself. I cleared the code, and the light stayed off for about 100 miles, but now it's back on with the exact same P0420 code. The car seems to be running fine, no noticeable performance issues or strange smells.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Macan? Could it be something more serious than just the O2 sensor, even though I just replaced it? I'm trying to avoid an expensive trip to the dealership if it's something I can troubleshoot further.
