Hey everyone, I'm having some serious trouble with the air suspension on my 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie. Lately, it seems like the truck isn't leveling properly, especially overnight. Sometimes the rear sags significantly.

The compressor also seems to be running a lot more than usual, even when parked. I'm worried about potential leaks or a failing component. Has anyone experienced this with their Ram air suspension? What should I be looking for?

It's making the ride quality pretty inconsistent and I'm concerned about long-term damage if I don't address it soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Summary: For 2018 Ram 1500 Air Suspension Not Leveling Properly, work through these steps on your 2016+ vehicle:

  1. Confirm the symptom — note when it happens (cold start, highway, after fuel fill, etc.).
  2. Scan codes — save all pending/stored DTCs; don't clear until you've recorded them.
  3. Check TSBs & recalls — look up your VIN for open campaigns and known fixes.
  4. Inspect the obvious — related fuses, connectors, fluid level, and recent repairs.
  5. Test the common fix — follow model-specific service procedures; one change at a time.
  6. Escalate if needed — burning smell, no brakes, overheating, or stalling in traffic → shop visit.
