Hey everyone, I've got a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7L Hemi, just hit about 60,000 miles. I'm wondering about the transmission fluid. The manual says 'inspect' at certain intervals, but when should I actually change it? I tow a travel trailer pretty regularly, maybe 4-5 times a year.
Is this something I can tackle myself, or is it best left to the pros? I've done oil changes and diff fluid before, but never a transmission. What fluid type should I be looking for, and are there any special tools or procedures for the 8-speed ZF transmission in these trucks?
