2017 Outback 2.5i - Burning Oil? Is this normal for Boxer engines?

Hey everyone,

My 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium, with about 75,000 miles, seems to be going through oil faster than I'd expect. I'm having to add a quart every 2,000-3,000 miles, and the low oil light has come on a couple of times between scheduled changes. I've heard about some older Subarus having issues with excessive oil consumption, but I thought the newer models were better.

Is this level of consumption considered normal for these Boxer engines, or should I be concerned? I'm diligent with my oil changes using the recommended synthetic oil. What steps should I take to figure this out? Should I just keep topping it off, or is this a sign of a bigger problem?
