Vehicle: 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance
Hey everyone,
I'm experiencing a really concerning issue with my 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance. Yesterday, while driving on the highway, I suddenly felt a significant reduction in power and acceleration. It felt like the car was struggling to maintain speed, and the usual instant torque was just gone.
Immediately after, a warning message popped up on the screen saying something like 'Reduced Motor Performance' or 'Drivetrain Malfunction - Service Required'. I pulled over, restarted the car, but the warning persisted, and the power reduction was still noticeable. The car is still drivable, but it feels sluggish and I'm worried about further damage.
Has anyone else encountered this with their Model 3, especially a Performance model? What was the cause, and what was the fix? I'm trying to figure out if this is a common software glitch or something more serious with the drive unit itself. Any advice before I schedule a service appointment would be greatly appreciated!
