Vehicle: 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE
I've started hearing a distinct rattling noise coming from underneath my 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE, especially when I accelerate or go over bumps. It sounds like loose metal, and it's getting progressively worse. On top of that, I've noticed a strong 'rotten egg' or sulfur smell coming from the exhaust, particularly after driving for a bit.
The car has about 45,000 miles on it. There's no Check Engine Light on yet, but these symptoms are really concerning. I'm worried it might be something serious with the exhaust system or catalytic converter.
Has anyone else experienced this with their newer Highlander? What should I be looking for, or what could be the potential problem here?
