Vehicle: 2018 Volkswagen Jetta SE
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my 2018 Volkswagen Jetta SE. Recently, the ABS light came on, and I've noticed a really unsettling grinding noise when I apply the brakes, especially at lower speeds. It feels like the car isn't stopping as smoothly as it used to.
I'm worried about driving it like this. Could this be a serious problem with the ABS system or just worn brake pads? I've heard about wheel speed sensors causing ABS lights, but the grinding noise makes me think it's more than just a sensor.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their Jetta or another VW? Any advice on what I should check first before taking it to a mechanic? Thanks in advance!
